TANZANIA

The country is in place 162 from 175 of the United Nations development-index (human development index / HDI). The UN Human Development Index covers 175 U.N. member countries (out of 192) and is a comparative measure of life expectancy, literacy, education, and standards of living for countries worldwide. It is a standard means of measuring well-being, especially child welfare. It is used to distinguish whether the country is a developed, a developing, or an under-developed country, and also to measure the impact of economic policies on quality of life.

The factor life expectancy is regarded as an indicator for health care, nutrition and hygiene; the educational level is like the income for acquired knowledge and the opportunity to participate in the public and political life for an appropriate standard of living.

Children and adult education, medical supply and nutrition are still serious challenges in Tanzania.
